Partner Fund Client Director, Investment Management

Step into a pivotal role shaping the future of pension investment services. As Partner Fund Client Director, you’ll lead relationships with Partner Funds, deliver high-quality advisory services, and support the implementation of investment strategies.

What You’ll Do

Build & Shape the Advisory Function

  • Develop and deliver the business plan to establish the organisation as the principal advisor to Partner Funds.
  • Design the advisory service model, support system procurement, and help recruit and build the team.
  • Contribute to the design of asset class building blocks and lead onboarding ahead of government deadlines.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with Partner Funds, working closely with external advisers where needed.

Lead Client Relationships & Ongoing Delivery

  • Act as primary relationship director for around four Partner Funds.
  • Attend investment meetings—including Pension Committees—and provide clear, strategic investment advice.
  • Agree and oversee IMAs and SLAs, ensuring commitments are met to the highest standard.
  • Work internally to ensure strategies, implementation routes, and reporting are aligned with Partner Fund requirements.
  • Collaborate with actuaries, consultants, and investment teams to deliver a best-in-class client experience.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in institutional investment consulting or relationship management across public and private markets.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and confidence engaging senior decision-makers.
  • Expertise in strategic asset allocation, implementation, oversight, and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of investment governance, regulation, and asset-owner responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical capability (ALM, modelling, reporting) and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and ESG integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • CFA, actuarial qualification, or IMC (preferred).
  • Ability to meet FCA approved-person requirements.
