We are seeking a motivated and experienced Investment Banker to join our client’s Debt Advisory team. This role focuses on the origination and execution of debt advisory mandates, which may be standalone transactions or part of broader M&A deals. You will work closely with clients, industry specialists, and lenders to deliver tailored financing solutions that meet client needs.
Reporting to the Head of Debt Advisory, you will be responsible for managing all phases of transaction execution, developing client relationships, and supporting junior team members. This is a high-profile role offering exposure to complex debt advisory assignments across multiple sectors and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with industry and geographic coverage teams to structure and raise debt capital for M&A or refinancing transactions.
- Maintain close contact with clients to understand their portfolios, financing requirements, and strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain a network of potential lenders.
- Lead transaction execution, including financial modelling, due diligence, and preparation of marketing materials.
- Negotiate terms of financial agreements with lenders on behalf of clients.
- Contribute to pitch preparation and support pitch delivery, occasionally leading marketing efforts.
- Manage and develop junior team members, providing guidance on modelling, documentation, and client engagement.
- Keep abreast of market developments and opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- Experience within Investment Banking, Transaction Services, or boutique advisory.
- Strong academic record and demonstrable analytical and quantitative skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven team orientation, capable of working effectively across multiple groups and regions.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Desire to contribute to high-profile debt advisory mandates and develop client relationships.
