Reporting to the Head of Shareholder Relations, this person will be responsible for a large number of the day-to-day Shareholder Relations activities relating to the firm.
Shareholder Relations is responsible for all communications with shareholders, sell side analysts and related stakeholders. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing shareholder presentations and corporate announcements, and arranging/attending meetings with shareholders and analysts.
This role would suit an ambitious individual from a range of backgrounds such as ECM, equity research, corporate broking, equity sales or IR.
Being comfortable with corporate finance and accounting concepts is crucial, as is the ability to communicate clearly to a range of audiences through a range of channels. As part of a small team, the role provides an opportunity to work on all aspects of the IR programme, working closely with functions across the Group, including the senior management and the Board and its shareholder base.
The demands of the job are varied – an ability to be very ‘hands on’ across all aspects is crucial, as well as an ability to be strategic and communicate a senior level.
Candidates will bring demonstrable experience of:
- Managing projects and workstreams independently that have multiple internal and external stakeholders,
- Delivering high quality written and presentational output to senior stakeholders with minimal input and direction
- A knowledge of, or experience with, financial institutions / asset managers is beneficial but not a requirement
- ‘Non-traditional’ background (e.g. arts degrees) are welcome as well as more ‘traditional’ finance / economics degrees
