VP/ED Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Global Bank, London, Full Time, Flexible/Hybrid Working

The successful candidate will:

Work closely with the EMEA Executive team, across a range of business divisions, to align the DEI strategy with business outcomes.

Ensure conscious inclusion is built into people, client and supplier policies, practices and initiatives.

Execute the DEI strategy and continue to drive accountability and focus.

The role:

  • Lead DEI activities, initiatives and practices, serve as SME across the firm ensuring buy-in, engagement and commitment at all levels
  • Provide DEI insight and guidance on best practice to support strategic thinking and commercial success
  • Provide SME expertise to broader HR team, Conduct and Culture team, Corporate Communications and other business stakeholders
  • Drive and execute DEI strategy, ensure aligned with business goals and delivery a timeline of key projects/priorities
  • Partner with MI team to use data analytics to inform plans and measure success
  • Oversee approach to inclusion networks, ensure best practice and align their activities with DEI strategy
  • Plan and execute high impact events and campaigns
  • Work with HR Business Partner and Recruitment teams and collaborate with charity partners to develop programmes to attract and retain diverse talent pipelines and achieve firm’s goals and targets
  • Ensure all firm structures, processes and systems are free from biases and reinforce behaviour changes to deliver an inclusive workplace and company targets


  • A proven track record of linking DEI activity with both organisational and commercial benefits
  • Strong project management skills, adept at gathering and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and communicating conclusions effectively
  • Excellent persuasion and influencing skills, skilful negotiator, change management specialist.
  • Proven experience establishing relationships with stakeholders and successfully working with senior leadership to design and implement projects and programmes
