Company Secretary, Investment Trusts, Asset Management

London, Hybrid Working

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide company secretarial services to a range of the firm’s investment trusts, as well as management companies as agreed with the Head of Asset Management Secretariat. This includes organisation and support for at least four quarterly board meetings per entity.
  • Advise the investment trust boards and any of the firm’s management companies on governance matters to ensure that the arrangements are appropriate and in line with Group principles as they apply.
  • Co-ordinate and organise shareholder meetings for the investment trusts in conjunction with other internal departments, including monitoring proxy votes received.

Candidates will have:

  • Chartered Governance qualification
  • Experience as an investment trust company secretary, preferably with some experience of UK regulated limited companies.
  • A working knowledge of the Listing Rules and Disclosure Guidance and Transparency rules applicable to investment trusts.
  • Experience of Blueprint (statutory register software) and Worksite an advantage.
